The Real Uganda's Mission

The Real Uganda mission is to provide support for local schools and community-based organizations that would otherwise lack the capacity to maintain their programs or provide essential services to community members. Through The Real Uganda's hands-on work with these organizations, they are able to grow and become self-sustainable, while also sharing life in Uganda with international volunteers.

Our Partnership History

The GoAbroad Foundation visited The Real Uganda in October 2017, which gave us the incredible opportunity to meet Leslie and learn more about the ways The Real Uganda is changing local communities. Since then, we've begun supporting two of their incredible programs.

As our relationship grows, we are eager to support The Real Uganda in even more ways. If you are interested in volunteering in Uganda, consider working with The Real Uganda to make the most of the experience.

The Hot Lunch Feedback program was set to resume on August 9th, but with the opening of the new academic year being pushed back to September 20th, the feedings may also be delayed in resuming. They are still working to confirm when their other educational programs can resume.
