Beneficiary Organization Partner

Determined to Develop (D2D) was formulated in 2009 to use education as a tool for breaking the cycle extreme poverty to Malawi. Founded by an American, who discovered the prevalent need for development initiatives in Malawi while volunteering there between 2006 and 2008, Determined to Develop offers programs focused on education, women’s empowerment, environment, and health to Malawian communities. They take pride in their commitment to working closely with community stakeholders to ensure each program is necessary, sustainable, and successful.

D2D’s Mission

To empower the people of Malawi through education and enable them to become agents of development for their families, community, country, and the world at large.

Our Partnership History

The GoAbroad Foundation began partnering with Determined to Develop in September 2019, after being introduced to their programs and mission through the Give Together Program outreach program.

Our very first project fundraiser for D2D was launched in October 2019.

Our partnership concluded in 2021.

Past D2D Projects

School Tuition Sponsorship Program

The School Tuition Sponsorship Program provides Malawian youth with the opportunity to access and complete their education by removing the financial barrier of tuition and schooling costs.

VIEW PROJECT

Build a Classroom Project

D2D has plans of constructing a brand new technical college in the Chilumba catchment region of Malawi through their Local Education Partnership to give local students more learning opportunities.
