DAKTARI Bush School and Wildlife Orphanage is a nonprofit organization based in South Africa. DAKTARI is dedicated to inspiring and educating children in the local community so they can better understand how to take care of their environment and contribute to wildlife conservation. Through the combination of their bush school and wildlife orphanage, DAKTARI provides immersive educational experiences for local children so they can learn about the wildlife present in their area, the environment, the importance of anti-poaching, and a wide variety of other issues. All of DAKTARI’s programs are aimed at furthering sustainable development in South Africa.

The DAKTARI mission is to stimulate community development in South Africa by educating and inspiring local children to value their environment and actively contribute to wildlife conservation.

Our Partnership History

The GoAbroad Foundation began partnering with DAKTARI Bush School and Wildlife Orphanage in September 2019, after being introduced to their programs and mission through the Give Together Program outreach program and their ongoing partnership with GoAbroad.com.

DAKTARI Projects We Support

Environmental Education Program

Aimed at providing local children with learning opportunities in a one of kind setting, DAKTARI Bush School offers environmental education programs that help educate children about wildlife conservation and environmental issues in their community.
